Television Commercials That Got it Wrong…
In the 4 years, 8 months and 4 days that I have been a father, I have noticed that advertisers love to praise mothers whilst making dads out to be incompetent.
Leading up to Mother’s Day, fast food outlets such as KFC, Pizza Hut, McDonald’s and Dominoes have used the “give the mum the night off” but when it comes to Father’s Day the same advertising strategy isn’t used as they don’t believe dads deserve a night off NOT cooking. Well, I am the family chef. I make dinner for our family every single night. And I know I’m not the only dad to do this.
I’m still out there on YouTube hunting them down, but here’s a few that I put together that are using archaic sexism with dads being left out, or mum being the decision maker.
